Swiss Mechatronic Art Society. The first articles of the association were written in March 2006. It states “Mechatronicart stands for the expression of the human mind, which is not primarily due to its usefulness but the totality of the particular”. On Mai 2006, Markus Haselbach and Gerhard Scherz officially founded the society at the youth culture house Dynamo Z�rich (offiziell). First workshops on soldering were held on the balcony of the culture house. On Mai 2007 I found the website of the society online and officially applied to be part of it. I had to send in a CV and a motivational letter. A month later I met Effi Tanner and Steve Wozniak at a workshop organized by the society for Tweak F�scht with Massimo Banzi and got my first Arduino. In August the same year I joined a very formal society meeting where I met Marc Dusseiller Dusjagr who was just running for president. I showed of with my open source wrist watch. In December 2007 the first SGMK diy* Festival was held and in March 2008 Marc was elected as president. Erleta Roy B�r was assigned head of administration. For the second Festival in December 2008 I was part of the organizing team together with Iris Rennert. Think we did a good job as we got accepted to the board of the society three month later.
